Ingredients

  • ✔1 ball pizza dough (about 250 g / 9 oz)
  • ✔120 g (4 oz) mozzarella, torn into pieces
  • ✔80 g (3 oz) gorgonzola, crumbled
  • ✔40 g (1.5 oz) parmesan (parmigiano-reggiano), grated
  • ✔60 g (2 oz) fontina, cubed
  • ✔1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • ✔Freshly ground black pepper
  • ✔Drizzle of honey (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 °C (480 °F) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Stretch the dough into a 12-inch round on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Arrange the four cheeses evenly over the base, leaving a small border — no tomato sauce on this one.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheeses are melted and bubbling.
  6. Finish with an optional drizzle of honey for a sweet–savory contrast, then slice and serve.
